Jimmy grew up with Gypsy Jazz from a young age and is at the forefront of the American revival that really got started around 2007. His main guitar influences besides Django are Angelo Debarre and Howard Alden. Jimmy also has a love for Eastern-European styles that were brought to his native California by cymbalom, violin and accordeon players like Roby Lakatos, Sandu Ciorba and Andor Kovacs. He worked with a host of names including Paulus Schäfer, Ludovic Beier and US mandolin icon David Grisman and was part of the successful touring band, Velvet Caravan.
